Raavana

On a turbulent evening, two pals named Matt and Johnny go to visit their friend Sabrina in their hometown, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Sabrina owns a joyful dog named Marshmallow which the three buddies call ferocious because of it’s sharp, fang-like teeth. Sabrina also has a mysterious and unearthly neighbour which she tries to avoid most of the time. Once they met, Johnny immediately started questioning Sabrina.

 

“Don’t you think your neighbour, Raavana is a bit spooky? He follows us and acts weird.”, he said.

 

” I agree. Raavana does make me have goose-bumps.”, Matt added.

 

“You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover”, Sabrina advised

 

“Maybe Raavana’s kind and caring”, Matt suggested.

 

“Do I look unusual with blue streaks in my hair?”, Sabrina questioned.

 

“No”, her buddies answered.

 

“I think your dog is vicious.”, Matt commented.

 

“Its teeth look like fangs!” Johnny added.

 

“It might bite us!’. Matt continued.

While they were talking about ‘crucial’ things, Marshmallow saw Raavana approaching their spot. Raavana never noticed Marshmallow and quietly crept behind the three friends. Marshmallow thinks that Raavana is evil and dangerous and that’s obvious. Marshmallow pushes the friends away from Raavana. Hence, they rush out of view to escape the frightening dog.

“Where’s marshmallow?” Questioned Sabrina,

 

“Where’s Matt?”, Interrogated Johnny.

 

“We have to go find them NOW!”, Johnny and Sabrina said simultaneously.

 

Then, they heard wolf, owl and cayote sounds resulting in them getting petrified and agitated. Then, they started looking for their friends but froze half way.

 

“I hear footsteps”, Sabrina nervously said.

 

“Quickly hide!”, Johnny commanded.

 

They scurried to hide, and Sabrina bumped into a tree while Johnny stepped on a gruesome body that wasn’t buried.

“AAAAAAAH!!”, they screamed in unison as they tumbled down a tiny trail to see a discovery that would change everything…

 

 his gravestone says Raavana 1942-2010 R.I.P”, Sabrina said with fear

 

“this can`t be!”, Sabrina continued.

 

“But it just happened”, Johnny replied.

They gazed at the gravestone for a few prolonged minutes before Johnny found another horrific, blood-curdling discovery.

 

“On this tombstone, it says Parra lama 2000-2016

Used in Raavana`s project” said the horrified Johnny.

“Oh no!”, cried Sabrina.

 

Then, they counted the number of tombstones and there were five hundred people, that were used in his projects that failed.

 

“We have to go save Matt and Marsh …”, said Johnny but stopped halfway.

 

“Wait, what’s that thing behind us?”, questioned Sabrina

 

“I don’t know”, replied Johnny

 

“It’s me! And YOU ARE NEXT!” bawled Raavana

 

“AAAH!”, the two friends yelled at once. Then, they were taken to Raavana’s cabin in the graveyard.

 

Meanwhile, Matt was awestruck because of the trees’ branches and horrified by the amount of unburied bodies. The trees’ branches swirled out and it looked like the branches were about to grab you. Then, he heard running footsteps approaching him and saw a tiny figure. Matt tried to run but he was unfortunately too slow, and the figure pounced on him.

 

” AAAAH!”, Matt screamed with terror. “Oh, it’s you, Marshmallow”, Matt said with an even-temper. Marshmallow pulled Matt and they trailed behind their friends.

 

 “Oh no! Johnny and Sabrina have been imprisoned by Ravanna!”, Matt disclosed.

 

          After Johnny, Sabrina, and Raavana went inside, Matt climbed up the wooden cabin and investigated the hole at the peak of the cabin. Matt saw his dear friends unharmed and was relieved.

 

“Phew, my friends are all right”. Said Matt.

 

 Sabrina saw scissors while Johnny saw Matt.

 

“psssst” Johnny signaled.

 

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?”, vociferated Raavana.

 

“Nothing”, Sabrina promptly answered.

 

Marshmallow wanted to help Matt, so he started barking and showing Matt a secret passage way.

 

“It must be that dog again”, uttered Raavana.

 

He started chasing Marshmallow, but Marshmallow was too fast for Raavana. Matt went through the secret passage way. “Why is it so dusty in here? I hate this passage way”, Matt said to himself. When he met his friends, Johnny told him what had happened, Matt cut the rope that was tied to his friends, and Sabrina showed them another secret passage way. They went through the tunnel and heard two voices. One was Ravanna’s and the other was unfamiliar,

 

Raavana said, “get the key for the cave of Doom in the ocean and get me these ten amulets. If I put them together, I will, be the most powerful person on the earth!”.   

 

“OK”, the other man replied.

 

“We have to get the amulets before him”, said Johnny” This is a dusty passage way”.

 

“Now you know how I felt when I came to rescue you guys”, said Matt.

 

 They quickly came out of the passage way and followed the man.

 

“He has a map”, whispered Matt.

 

Johnny got the map secretly and Sabrina directed them to the cave of Doom. In the cave of Doom, they faced numerous challenges such as riddles.

 

“What is greater than god, eviler than the devil, the poor have it, but the rich don’t have it?”, the cave’s guard said.

 

 

 

 

 

“Nothing”, blurted out Matt.

 

“That’s right”, replied the guard.

 

“Wow, that was just a guess.”, continued Matt. Then, they had to walk across an bridge that`s only 5cm wide! Under it were a few merciless creatures such as alligators, crocodiles and lizards.!  As they were walking, Sabrina fell into the marsh!

 

“AAAAH! Help me!!!!!!!!”, She screamed.

 

 But, since she was trailing far behind them, her cries couldn’t be heard. When the two friends got across the bridge, they anxiously looked for Sabrina. They couldn’t find her, so they continued without her. Meanwhile, the man Raavana sent had been opening the door to the cave of Doom with ease. He had the key. Sabrina struggled to get herself free and then, noticed a jar of stingy liquid. She poured some on the vicious animals and left quickly because it would wear off quickly in the water. Then, she ran on the thin bridge and saw her sorrowful friends collecting amulets.  She grabbed two amulets and scurried after them.

 

“AAAAHHH”, they screamed simultaneously.

 

“Sabrina, you’re alive?!”, Matt confusedly asked

 

“HOW”, Johnny continued

 

“I am a good swimmer”, Sabrina proudly said.

 

 Then, I shadow casted upon them…

 

” AAAAAAAAAAH”, the three friends screamed with terror.

 

Raavana snatched the amulets but Sabrina held on to the jar.

 

“What is in that jar?!!!!!!” Raavana questioned furiously.

 

Sabrina stayed silent and Raavana put the amulets together one, by one. Then, he only had one more amulet to put together...

 

Finally, Sabrina blurted out, “it makes you immortal!”, but she was lying. Raavana eagerly snatched the jar from her and poured it on himself.

 

 “AAAHHH! IT STINGS!!!!!!!!”, Raavana screamed with extreme agony.

 

 Matt called ‘911’; the police and Johnny told them what had happened. Each of them got ten thousand dollars because the police were looking for Raavana since 1839 hence, all three friends got a mansion and became millionaires.

 

 Now you know that you shouldn’t be talking to strangers.
